Major Growth Cited for Dubai from the 2020 World Expo. “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”


The World Expo in Dubai, 2020 is projected to bring $20
billion to many sectors, including education. 
The education system in Dubai needs reform and expansion. The schools are overflowing with students as demand for international schools has been snowballing for the past ten years. 
“The Expo 2020 win will fuel further prosperity in the emirate, with huge developments expected in infrastructure, including educational institutes; creating more employment opportunities, the win will lead to a greater influx of expatriate workers.” Dr Abdulla Al Karam, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director General of The Knowledge and Human Development Agency (KHDA) said.
“In the next five years we expect to see 70 new or expanded schools, providing places for a further 90,000 students across Dubai,” he added.
Education in the Emirates is growing rapidly, especially with the influx of middle class expats moving to Dubai. The number of international schools is increasing. It will be interesting to see the changes Dubai has gone go through, check back in 2020 for an update!
