Extra! Extra! Read All About It: NEW SAT TEST

It was announced in December that the arrival of the new SAT test would be presented in 2016.  Which is a delay of a year, what does that mean for you?
What is the SAT?
Scholastic Aptitude Test or the Scholastic Assessment Test better know as SAT.  This is a required test for those who are attending college or university for the first time (not all universities and colleges require this but most do).  Most students in high school start to prepare for the test starting in their junior year (16/17 years old).  The test was rolled out in 1926 and has changed names and style several times since it was first used.  The reason for the introduction of the SAT in 1926 is unknown to me at this time.
The SAT test will be redesigned and rolled out in 2016, this gives educators, schools and students a chance to prepare for the up and coming redesigned of the test.  This will allow the students to take the revised PSAT/NMSQT before the revised SAT is rolled out.   It’s funny reading about this, I can remember taking the test in 1982 and back then they were discussing the need for redesign, which they did redesign in 2005 but educators were not impressed, hence another change.  There was near universal praise for the prospect of change – Especially for the end or major overhaul for a writing test that has been widely criticized by writing teachers.  As I am excited about the redesign so are educators and like myself educators are anxious for the new test to be used as soon as possible.  Educators and I alike are questioning why is it taking so long?  We say hurry up please!!
