MONEY MONEY MONEY! The Root Of All Evil: Work-Placements For Chinese Students Studying In UK

Following the cancellation of the UK-Post-Study Work Visa in 2012, public and private organisations are striving...and succeeding it seems to roll out internships and work placements for Chinese international students in the UK.
The Overseas Student Service Centre Ltd (OSSC) a leading recruitment company for Chinese students coming to the UK Trade and Investment are in the early stages of developing programs for international internships. The international student internship scheme was launched in October 2013 and involves a three month placement once they have completed their studies.
The internships are intended to give opportunities to the students in a globalized market and to build stronger ties with international companies, once the Chinese student returns home from their study abroad adventures and work-placements, they are given the option of applying to work in the China branches of the companies where they have interned. It is expected that students will help to develop alumni networks in China and continue to promote trade opportunities for UK companies on their return.
Students have a choice out of three industry placements: Finance, international trade and tourism. Students are given support with writing a CV and an effective cover letter; included in a package costing £1000.
The University of Sheffield will be the trial institution for the project, if that goes well, universities will be added gradually over time.
I think this is an excellent idea, an example of how our society is becoming more inclusive and an exciting opportunity for Chinese students.

Good job Sheffield and I hope others follow; suit...hint hint..Brazil, 2016, Olympics!
I hope this information is helpful and that all the budding Chinese students out there take full advantage of this empowering opportunity. Keep your eyes on the ball as there has not yet been an enrollment date set for the program.
